Integrations and syncing

Connect Slack, Google, Notion, GitHub, Linear, and more to Astell, and control exactly what gets ingested.

Integrations are how Astell sees your work. You connect an account once, choose what it should ingest, and Astell keeps that slice of your workspace indexed and searchable.

Supported integrations

Astell currently connects to:

  • Google: Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and Meet (including meeting recordings and transcripts)
  • Microsoft: Outlook mail and Teams
  • Slack
  • Notion
  • GitHub
  • Linear
  • Figma
  • Zoom (meetings, recordings, and transcripts)
  • Salesforce
  • HubSpot
  • Asana
  • Monday
  • DingTalk

The catalog grows regularly; the in-app catalog under Workspace settings → Integrations is the source of truth. If a tool you need is missing, you can request it from the same screen. See also the integration details pages and supported integrations and requests.

Personal accounts vs workspace integrations

Connections happen in two steps, which keeps one credential reusable across workspaces:

  1. Connect an account to your profile under Account settings → Integrations. This is your personal third-party credential.
  2. Add the account to a workspace under Workspace settings → Integrations. Only then does the workspace ingest from it.

An account you connected once can be added to any workspace you belong to. Removing it from a workspace stops ingestion there without disconnecting your personal credential.

Choose what gets ingested

For each workspace integration you control scope and cadence:

  • Selectors: pick the specific Slack channels, Drive folders, Notion spaces, or GitHub organizations Astell should ingest, or choose All to keep everything in sync.
  • Auto-sync: when enabled, Astell keeps the selected sources up to date automatically. When disabled, the integration only syncs when you trigger it manually.

Syncing Native Data (messages, emails, tasks, code) is unlimited and never consumes tokens. Ingesting Processed Data (documents, images, audio, video, meetings, web pages) is token-metered. See Native vs Processed Data.

Sync status

Each integration shows its current state:

  • Available: supported, not yet connected.
  • Connected: linked to the workspace, no sync running.
  • Syncing: a sync is in progress.
  • Synced: up to date, with a last-synced timestamp.
  • Failed: the last sync did not complete. Open the integration's actions to retry, or see sync behavior and troubleshooting.

Use Sync all to start a manual sync across every connected account at once. Manual syncs are rate-limited; if you hit the limit, the button tells you how many minutes to wait.

Ingestion jobs

Workspace settings → Data ingest lists every ingestion job with its status and trigger (manual or auto), so you can trace exactly when a source was ingested and whether anything failed. How far back Astell indexes depends on your plan's ingestion window.

Disconnecting

Removing an integration from a workspace stops future ingestion from it. To remove a personal credential entirely, disconnect it under Account settings → Integrations; it disappears from every workspace it was added to.
